If you ever felt like your not growing up fast enough this is the book to read. The type of fiction is realistic fiction. My opinion of this book is that's it's really good because I do a lot of the same things as the main character. This story is about Greg Heffely's life during his pre-teen yesrs. Greg talks about different places such as school and home. Greg's mom Susan is going back to school. Frank, Greg's dad is making the kids do more responsibility. Some of their responsibility include making dinner, doing laundry, cleaning around the house, and other chores. With the house Responsibility's that the brothers have it is causing conflict. The type of conflict is Person vs Person because no one wants to do what there suppose to and it always seems like someone is doing more than the other person. My favorite part of the book was when Greg was complaining about him having to go to a grown up dentist than a kid one. I liked that part the best because Greg only liked the kid dentist because the girl that cleans his teeth is really hot. I understood why Greg didn't really want to do any choirs. I agree with this because he was so use to his mother doing everything around the house but when she went back to school everything changed for Greg. I can relate to the character Greg by being lazy around the house. I can relate to him because sometimes I sound a lot like him by not wanting to do any choirs that my parents tell me to do. Greg's motivation was to try act cool around the popular kids. At the beginning of the school year Greg got a text book that belonged to a popular kid that's a grade above him so he thought that if the kids would see him with that book he thought it would help him become popular. If I were to rate this book I would rate it 4 stars because it was a really good book but not one of my favorite books. I would recommend this book to who ever tries to fit in with the cool kids or act lazy around the house. If you love to read books that are funny and weird this is a great book for you. Gregory Heffly, wanted to be normal and fit in because all the other kids have reached maturity before him. But his parents had him watch his little brother Manny, and realized being older wasn't as easy as he thought. So Gregory decided it didn't matter how old you are, and that you are your own person. Then Gregory decided to enjoy his time being young and to live life to the fullest.Diary Of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth is about patience, frustrations and relief.
