About book The Seven Rays (2009)

Reading this book, I was intrigued and excited by the characters and premise. I was really enjoying it, minus a few annoying passages here and there. But then, at some point or another, it went steeply downhill. Then fell downhill some more. Got to where I almost couldn't even be bothered to read the last half/third of the book. As others have mentioned, part of the problem is that it's you-have-inner-power and put-good-energy-into-the-universe type stuff that the author attempted weave as/into a novel. But didn't write such a cohesive story around it. Or maybe it's just too explicit in its message? The praise from Deepak Chopra on the back cover should have been a warning to me... The Seven Rays is about a girl who sees weird lines and dots when she looks at people. She also has a great friend, who is boy crazy. This book reminds me of a corny love story. The dots she sees are sometimes red or pink. They surrond her vision and make it blurry. It happens when she has weird thoughts. I think that the girl and her friend will be together forever, all though i will never know because i am abandoning the book. I would recommend it to someone older than me because some concepts are a little too old for me, and hard to understand.I chose this book by looking at the library. I really wanted to get a book to read, so i looked around the teen section. I saw this book and the front cover really caught my eye. I read the inside cover and thought i should give it a try. I was on the first couple of pages, getting really excited to dig deeper into this book. Only 20 pages into it, i thought it wasnt for me. I will stick with The Truth About Forever until i find another book i enjoy.

What a waste of time...I can't even bring myself to give this book even one star. So it gets none!!

In better hands, could have been a winner. Concept was interesting but never met the potential.
