the only thing that occupied my head when I read it is...God why they're so damn stubborn and selfish they didn't realize their surrounding...I kinda disappoint when Magnus only think about him and Helen and forget about his mission, at least, the other guardsmen when they distracted by their lass, they still do the mission well. But Magnus like...you hurt me, I will hurt you. No I don't care about everything else, I will never be with you. Hwell...and Helen like...why you don't understand? We're meant to be. No, I don't care about everything else, I just want you. And there fly their rational thought. I think if Helen really care about King accuse her family, she should investigate more about the poison...and Magnus can't think clear (not clear at all) about the things around them until they're trap. However I always love ms. McCarty stories...btw, I feel sad when I know Gordon is died. Is he really died? I feel like hoping for a miracle he isnt ;^; I was getting so frustrated with Magnus "Saint" MacKay and his stubborn attitude. While I understand his hurt and feeling of betrayal, he wouldn't even give Helen a chance to explain her actions. They spend most of the book avoiding the issues between them, but when they finally come together, it makes it all worth it. The Saint is an excellent continuation of The Highland Guard series. I'm a huge fan of these books and look forward to reading the next one.
