A fun read. It definitely captures the Tom Baker era of the show, with both the Fourth Doctor and Leela being well written and in character. The supporting cast are interesting, their names are especially funny but in a way that fits with the plot instead of being randomly silly. The setting is unique and fascinating, a space station which is an enormous living tree, with its own atmosphere. Human colonists have set up homes in its branches, carving paths through its limbs. Very clever and very different. There are some nice, well-described monsters and a credible sense of threat, plus a suitably obsessive villain behind it all.The only problem is that associated with all Doctor Who short stories: the situation arises, climaxes and is resolved far too quickly to be truly satisfying. I'm enjoying these little ebooks, all but one so far have been very well written and had good plots, but they all leave a slight feeling of emptiness and lost opportunity. Doctor Who requires lengthier novels to do its concepts justice.

A light, fun romp with The Doctor and Leela. Lovely worldbuilding and a merry twist.

Very fast read. And very good. And a certain other Doctor shows up.
