Another good quick read in this series of Dr Who stories released to celebrate the 50th anniversary in 2013.I think this book has captured the character of the third Doctor quite well and I could picture Jon Pertwee saying some of the lines as I read this book. This tale starts with a trip to a museum in London in 1973 and then travels back to the time of the Vikings in ancient Scandinavia. It also features an old enemy of the Doctor. All in all, a good read. With a Third Doctor Expanded Universe story, you typically end up with some iteration of UNIT and the Master duking it out over... something. Very rarely does the Third Doctor time travel in the novels (at least, not the ones I've read). But this particular story combined UNIT, the Master, AND a historical time period quite well. The narrative and the character dialogue was also the way I would expect a Third Doctor story to be - Jo Grant in the book sounds like Jo Grant would on TV, same with the Brigadier and the Master and, of course, the Doctor. I'm pleased that this series of eBooks seems to be getting better as I go along.
