This novel has our sleuth, Marcy Singer, owner of "Seven Year Stitch" embroidery store coming to the aid of her, perhaps, boyfriend, Todd and Blake, the husband of Marcy's best friend, Sadie. It all happens on St. Patrick's Day.St. Patrick's day dawns beautifully with the news that Riley, another friend of Marcy's is about to deliver her baby after months of careful bed rest. Todd and Blake are throwing a reunion party at Todd's Brew Crew pub of their college pals. Marcy and Sadie are going to eat, drink, and watch an Irish themed film with Angus by their sides. Then Sadie receives a telephone call...Blake is at the Police Station, arrested. Why? Upon arriving at the station, Todd is brought in as well to the cell. The reason...murder in the first degree of fellow fraternity brother, Graham Stott. Thing is, neither Blake nor Todd will speak on their own behalf. Marcy can not stand aside when her friends are in dire trouble. Who is this Graham and why would they kill him. They must be innocent, right? This book is filled with Marcy's search for the truth of more than just the murder. Marcy must also face her feelings for Ted, and Todd. After many scary scenes, the truth comes out, not until almost too late.I enjoyed this book and like this series. Tallulah Falls is getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day and so is Marcy Singer as she tries her hand at a little Irish embroidery called Mountmellick embroidery.During a St. Patrick’s Day party at Todd’s pub, The Brew Crew, something goes terribly wrong when a man is found shot dead in the back room. The dead man is a frat brother of both Todd and Blake and they both were alone in the room when the murder occurred, but neither of them can remember what happened, and are pretty sure they didn’t kill him. Then they learn only their fingerprints were on the gun.All clues point at Blake and Todd but there has to be a mistake. These friends are going to need the “Luck of the Irish” and some help from Marcy to get out of this one. Ted is not going to be pleased as she puts herself right in the middle of other investigation.Dollycas ThoughtsAnother winner from Miss Amanda Lee!!!This is one of those cases where you know there is much more to the story. Marcy knows her friends are innocent so there is something everyone is missing. While working on her project in the sit-in-stitch square she keeps running through all the information and clues and works to stitch together what really happened. These are down-to-earth characters everyone can relate to and feel a kinship with. I have no trouble picturing myself in Todd’s pub having a beer, at MacKenzies’ Mochas with the gang having a muffin, or at the Seven Year Stitch learning new embroidery techniques, while petting Angus. Small town USA is alive and well in these embroidery mysteries, but there is always a dead body or two, and a mystery to keep us needled until the final twist of the thread. This a fun mystery that I couldn’t put down and read all in one sitting. I still don’t know which man is right for Marcy but I am sure the author has much more planned for Todd, Ted, Marcy and all the other residents of Tallulah Falls. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!! Keep them coming Amanda, your readers are waiting!
