Marcy Singer owns the Seven Year Stitch Embroidery Shop. Her mother Beverly Singer is a costume designer on the Hollywood/San Francisco scene. Beverly is working on a movie set and must come up with stitched outfits for star B Tru. It's no secret that there is tension between Beverly and B Tru. When B Tru ends up dead, Beverly becomes a prime suspect. Marcy sets out to prove that her mom is innocent! I like how the author ties up the events leading to and solving the murders committed. Quick, easy and fun read! This book was ok. It seemed to go at a very fast clip, so it was a quick read, just didn't pull me in like the other books in the series. I am getting a little tired of the head-over-heels in love with Ted thing, but when it sounds like all Marcy does is hang out with her friends Sophie and Blake, Ted, and Todd or work in her store and investigate suspicious murders she somehow gets involved in.
Do You like book Cross Stitch Before Dying (2013)?
Quick read. Satisfying. Some tie-in to fiber because it's an Embroidery Shop mystery.
