I like all of the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" books but this one I liked the most. I like how the author made the character have experiences that others most likely had. For example, "Flat Stanley" is used in a lot of schools and "Disney World" is also an experience readers could relate to. I like how in the book seemingly unconnected thing piece together. Two examples are when they cracked their radiator the repair shop was next to the water park they wanted to go to, and the boat was a convenient payment to give their rescuers. All in all I think this is a valuable addition to the series and would recommend it to others. Now, I know what you are all thinking. I am an adult. I am an eighteen-year-old FEMALE adult. And yet I can't help but read these when they come out (my little cousin is obsessed with them so...I see them lying around around their house and...why not, right?)But also because there is more to this story for me. See, when I was about 11 or 12 or somewhere like that, there was this website that EVERYONE was obsessed with (that I unfortunately can't even remember the name of...) that we occasionally got to play on during "free time" in our computer class (yeah I was in 4th or 5th grade I think. So maybe even 10 or 9. Who knows. Whatever.)Point is, if you did a little digging off the main page, you reached this web story that had an ENTIRE YEAR'S WORTH (EVERY SINGLE DAY) of journal entries. I read every single one. For the whole year. These journals, if you hadn't guessed, were Greg Heffley's. ALL of these books were pretty much just sitting online, unorganized into specific books, and I enjoyed them greatly. So reading the ACTUAL books now is like taking a trip back to childhood. And it is fantastic. (Plus, I like how Greg has even worse luck than I do. It makes me somewhat happy inside...Is that a bad?)
