About book The Day The Eiffel Tower Went Beserk (The Umbrella Academy Apocalypse Suite #1) (2008)
The artwork were tremendous! With a polished image and good clean story. I would say that my only problem at reading it was probably too much unnecessary angst and family drama (then i realise that it was the main topic of the comic, oops). I do esteem the hard work of Gerard Way, awesome writer, also i made a calling to mind for a pleasing steampunk scenerio made by Gabriel Bá. I have big expectations for Dallas, the vol. 2 of this chronicle! P.S: can i have you, n° 5? Disappointing, confusing, preposterous in all the wrong ways. Heard about this from a top 50 graphic novels list and wondered why I'd never heard of this gem before, so quickly put a hold on it through the library and gave it a try. The art is visually arresting, I'll give it that. But the backstory and the plotting and even the dialogue is laboured. It is written by a man who is a lead singer in a rock band who figured he could do this in his spare time, so multi-talented was he, and it reads like it. Advice regarding day jobs would definitely apply.

Interesting story and concept, but didn't feel like I was able to get to know the characters.
