This review is on the book “The Case of the Case of Mistaken Identity” by Mac Barnett. I would recommend this book to readers who like mystery books with humor and non-stop action. This book is now one of my favorite books, but unfortunately it’s one the very few books of its genre. It has many positive traits that make the book very interesting, one of which being its humor. This trait made the book very unique and fun to read. On page 64, when steve was at the police station after being tied up by a hostile group of thugs,Steve thought to himself in the interrogation room that he was in “Chief Clumber leaned back in his chair, revealing the full expanse of his massive belly. The buttons on his shirt deserved a police medal of valor just for managing to stay fastened.” Another great trait that put this book over the top was its non-stop action. During the course of the book there were very few parts were the main character Steve Brixton, stopped to rest, in his adventure to find out who was hunting him down which made me as a reader to never want to put the book down. Overall the books positive traits make up for the very few negative traits it has. The negative traits of this book are its length and its story line was hard to follow towardsThe end of the book. The length of this book should have been a little bit longer, because the story was all crammed up towards the end. Steve’s mom asked him “What is going on? I got your note and I’ve been worried to death...”(178) and on the next page his mom al the sudden knows what’s going on “I know”(179). In conclusion I thought this was a great book and I would encourage anyone to read it. I would recommend it for people who like action books with humor. this was a great book to read and I really enjoyed it. I recently finished the book, The Brixton Brothers by: Mac Barnett. It is about a young student named Steve Brixton who goes on an in expected adventure. One day, Steve was at the library to check out a quilting book for a school report. He thought that it was just a normal book, but it turns out that it holds all of the government's secrets. When he checked the book out his life changed for ever. Everything went black and he got kidnaped by a bunch of librarians who claimed that they were the nations top soldiers and that Steve was a private detective working for the evil Mr.E. Steve uses hints from the Bailey Brothers Detective Handbook (a book that teaches him all the tips and tricks a good deceive needs to know) and his sleuthing skills to gather clues and evedance to clear his name. He also ends up saving America from Mr.E! I don't think that I can really relate to Steve because he always thinks like a detective everywhere he goes. I think this book will appeal to people who like mystery, adventure, and humor books. This is a great first book in a great series.
Do You like book The Brixton Brothers (2009)?
So much fun, especially for a guy who grew up on the Hardy Boys.
