So, i really LOVE amy lane's promise and johnnies series and i've often seen this book and wondered whether i should give it a try. However, i must admit that i thought the cover weird and thought the book wasn't a good fit for me. After finally reading it, though, i can say that the book is really, really good. The book isn't very long, and it shows just how good an author amy is that readers care so much about the two characters after such a short while. It is a wonderful story and I am looking forward to reading book 2 :) This book made me happy. I actually smiled when I finished it. For me it rings true that some of us carry burdens that we hide from everyone including those closest to us. I was pleased with the writing style in what I would call an easy read but it held my attention throughout. It encompassed emotions, cruelty, abuse, tenderness and more. I'm ready to read the next one in the series but have fallen behind in my reading schedule and must move next to a February book of the month. I think I'll read more of Ms. Lane writing's soon and think you should try her work out too.
