About book Soul Screamers Volume One (2000)

I picked this up after a friend mentioned it to me because she knew I liked YA lit with mythological and supernatural plots, but didn't like how most of them seemed to be based around romance with the girl being the human and the guy being the supernatural one. This really wasn't the case here and on top of that Soul Screamers has an interesting plot that kept me wanting to read it. I likely will continue reading the series since I enjoyed the first two books so much. I am not sure how to feel about this book, so let's start right away.My book had Three volumes, or maybe Three in one. It started with the 0.5 book, when we found out that kaylee screamed and everyone tried to calm her down and over an over again they were saying that it is just a panic attac. But kaylee knows better. Her aunt Val sends her to the mental hospital (Is it called that way?) and she was there for a few Days until she got home. This book, the very beginning, was really, really good! I would actually give it a 5/5. And, I Think I am going to start read 0.5's Before I read the original book! Because I got a Little more what the book was about, and I got information about Kaylee Before Everything happened in the forst book.So let's talk about My soul to take!Beautiful name on the book! It fits perfect with the story, and so does the cover, somehow. It's like, floating White and I Always Think about that her soul floating away...Anyway.Kaylee can predict someones Death, and she has to scream, sing, wail, for that girl's soul. And, she is a Bean sidhe. After this, I am going to search for that on google. She meets Nash, the very popular boy in school meets a pretty unpopular girl who's hanging around with the popular girl in school (they're friends, duuuuuhhh..). And Nash falls in love with Kaylee, and I know that it's mostly because she's a bean sidhe. But, hey, if I found a good looking guy who is a vampire like me and never talked to him before, I would soooo take him! The story. This is the part where it gets interesting. I Always read about the books that the World is falling under, a new war is coming, and so on. But this one is almost like a criminal serie, or a detective story. It's just small problems they trying to fix, not a big deal who can blow the whole World to freakin' shit! And so is the second book so I am not going to talk about that one.I will read the second volume, but first I will read something else.

Do You like book Soul Screamers Volume One (2000)?

I wasn't sure about this book when I bought it so it's been sitting on my bookshelf for awhile until I picked it up and started reading the first page. Then I got hooked. This volume contains a prequel (My Soul to Lose) and the first two novels in the series (My Soul to Take & My Soul to Save). The prequel and My Soul to Take were pretty good for me but My Soul to Save kind of dragged on so I lost interest but I did enjoy the story and the characters so I will be reading the next books in the series. If you're new to the Soul Screamers series, I suggest starting here. Pros: You have three books in one!! Cons: You might sneak a peak at the last page and figure out some spoilers. It was a pretty good read and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading YA.**Slight spoiler: There isn't a love triangle!**

The Soul Screamers series is fresh, exciting, sexy, and dark. I love how original each book is. I can honestly say that I've never read a book about banshees before. I love that it isn't a young adult book about vampires, werewolves, or fairies. I personally love reading about banshees and reapers. The only thing I did not like about this series was the main character, Kaylee. I didn't hate her, I just thought that the author could have written her a bit better. She had a bad habit of not letting things go, and she was way too nosy which disrupted the flow of the story. But other than that, I really enjoyed reading these books. I definitely recommend them.
