This e-book was great! The story was well written. I was truly held captive by this short story. Kalyee is a young girl who has this special gift that shows her when someone is going to die. She has these panic attacks when something is going to happen. One day she and her best friend (Emma) go to the mall to spend some time. She sees this boy in a wheelchair and has the second panic attack of the day. Although she can't seem to make it stop. She is taken to the psychiatric unit of the hospital because she tries to make the screaming stop by tearing out her throat. While she is there, Paul (An intern)tries to make Kaylee as comfortable as possible; someone to talk to. Kaylee doesn't like the fact she must stay there for her own good; until she stops having these panic attacks. During her stay she sees Lydia. Lydia is a quiet girl who stays away from everyone. Kylee tries to become friends with Lydia. Kaylee wants out of the hospital so bad she tells her Aunt and Uncle, and they do what they can to make that happen; provided she doesn't have any more attacks. On the last day in the hospital there was a lot of commotion in the hospital and Kaylee tries to fight off the panic attack starting to ebb in her throat. What is this strange power Lydia has? Why is Kaylee having panic attacks? Read this story....You won't be sorry! Way to go Rachel, this book was Amazing! WOW!What an amazing start to a series. I don't remember the last time I read a novella that has gripped me quite so much, especially one that leads you into a series. This novella doesnt just give you a glimpse into the series it gives you a real chance to get to know Kaylee when she's at her most vulnerable. This is my first book by Vincent and I am really eager to get started on the rest of this series, especially if it carries on in the same manner as this one.
Do You like book My Soul To Lose (2009)?
Short "prequel" to a series that does not do well standing on its own.
