Alright.... So I just finished this series and I will admit I did not really like the first book. But I continued to read because I had already purchased the whole series so I figured I might as well. I am glad I did! It turned into so many twists I wasn't expecting and kept me engrossed like very few books have been able to do lately. All the books in the series are out (bonus points!) and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good series to read. Nice long books that were very well written. The topic is not one I have heard of before but I will warn you if you don't like other wordly things and Demons I wouldn't recommend it. The star review is for Last Request only, having bought this simply to read that final novella. As big a fangirl of Rachel Vincent as I am, there was a lot that bothered me about the Soul Screamers series and plenty of those things carried over into this novella, but it was a nice way to really finish things off. I did particularly like the banter/relationship between Nash/Tod. They came a long way from the broken siblings they were in the first book, and it was nice to see their growth playing out on the page.
Fancy dresses on covers have gotten a lot of flack lately. But I kind of adore this one.
