Rescue Me #4Marc cannot fully trust Angelina. He doesn't know why. He doesn't really trust anyone. She cannot take it and breaks up with him. It might have something to do with finding out he is adopted. He just doesn't know and it is wearing on him. He loves Angie and knows that she is the one. He goes to Adam with his problem and Adam agrees to get to the bottom of it in an interrogation scene. Will it bring Marc back to Angelina? Will he finally know who he is? I like Kallypso Master's Rescue Me series, but this wasn't the best. Marc and Angeline's angst over their relationship just went on and on. It was great to have continuing threads on Adam and Karla (my favorites) and Damien and Savannah (whose wedding also went on and on), but overall, it didn't have the zing of the earlier novels. Even the erotic bits weren't that hot, and they were relatively infrequent.
It was a little slow at some parts but Marc and Angelina are my favorites so it was worth it!
