About book Masters At Arms & Nobody's Angel (2013)
Found this after reading the book Club Shadowlands. However, this is far different from it. The first story takes you on a journey to find out who these wonderful characters are and what their stories are. It gives you the layout of the characters and the pain that they have suffered and what makes them feel and think the things they do. You will cry, laugh and want to smack most of the characters in this series but will fall in love and feel their pain as well. After reading the first book you are so intrigued you have to find out what is going on with the characters. No, it may not be a HAE but with the pain, suffering and trauma that most of these characters have been through this is their HAE! I love how Kallypso kept us involved through out the story with her expert writing and gave us the imagery to imagine our own Adam, Marc and Damien. There is slight BDSM but still emphasizes the proper consensual measurements that each party takes. Thank goodness she didn't leave us in the dark about one character while telling the story of the other, she keeps of informed about all characters even in her second book. I am definitely in love with this series! I would highly recommend and it may even help to save a relationship, just like it did mine! Happy Reading to you! Admittedly, while FSoG introduced me to the outskirts of reading kink, Kallypso Masters reeled me in with her well written, well researched books that also contain BDSM. These books are more than just kink though, they focus on the relationships between the characters rather than just the sex. While hot and sizzling sex scenes are a bonus, it's lovely to get lost in a world where you get to know the characters from the very beginning. How the guys meet, how each of the partners meet and how their relationships evolve through each book. The individual books don't just focus on the one couple like a lot of other series books do. Each book has the primary story on the couple for that book but you get to see the couples/individuals around them growing and evolving too. Learning how the men and women cope with the big upheavals in their lives: the PTSD, lost family members, shame and guilt. (On more than one occasion I filled the bin with tissues.) The emotions wrought are real. The research that has gone into these books is real. And the information comes from people who have lived through these things.Well done Kally for writing such great books!
