In typical fashion, Brubaker writes an interesting story and a strong character despite his atrocious bait-and-switch, over-used cliff-hanger, half-baked noir style of writing. Even the last page of this series contains a switch that couldn't have been more obvious, but was still treated like some kind of brilliant reveal. I wish Brubaker would trust himself or his audience a little more and tell the reader what's going on instead of hinting that it'll happen in the next panel, or that it happened in the previous. It may be one of the best played out espionage comics I've read, especially since post-humans are the pawns in the field. Every panel is so gritty and tense that you can't help but tear the pages because you're so eager to continue reading. No other book has kept me on the edge of my seat for the whole series and second guessing every character. Quite simply put: this book (as well as the first volume) are amazing in every facet.
Do You like book Sleeper Season 2 (2013)?
I found the ending to be simultaneously apropos and anticlimactic.

An excellent noir-themed end to the Sleeper series.
