About book Captain America And Bucky: The Life Story Of Bucky Barnes (2012)
A bit of a reframing of the origin of Bucky Barnes, but not a reprint. Actually it was pretty good. Good writing, good enough art. And done as a set of shorter pieces it gave a much better feel for Bucky as a person. Though it does nothing to explain why Captain America might have needed a young sidekick. Better use of the early Invaders superhero characters than normal, especially the interactions between Bucky and Namor and the adventure with Bucky and Toro. And the bit with Black Widow was good, fun to see a younger Black Widow. All in all a surprisingly good book. Oh look, it's Bucky's "origin story" retold yet again; minor updates here & there, otherwise it's same as it's always been. With the WWII Nazis punching and the terrible fashion-sense bootyshorts-and-bright-tights costume wearing, and being the underage NON-SUPER in a team of...The artstyle having a slightly flat cartoony look (u know, compared to the usual superhero muscles on top of more muscles and grit teeth look) to it really helps sell it
