About book Siren In Waiting (2011)

I really like the unusual form of therapy that Julian and Leo have come up with. I have seen it in the Nights in Bliss books, it had me laughing there too. I find it funny that they think that BDSM is the cure all for those with impulse issues. Either way, I love it. I loved how everything was spelled out for Trev, how he was given this last choice or cut off. I was glad to see that Trev made the right choice.I found myself having a love/hate relationship with Beth/Mouse. I hated her nickname, hated how she let everyone walk all over her, hated how she kept pushing her feelings for Bo away. I did love how when Trev showed up and gave her an alternate choice to make in life that she knew a little about she jumped at it. I loved how Beth seemed to flourish with Trev right from the start, even spouting off to the new "mean girl". That was great! I found myself laughing when Beth managed to show off her assets the first time and how she manged to maintain her dignity in the new dress that Trev made for her. Just the thought of her and Lexi talking about Lexi's books in her dress had me laughing.Bo was a mixed bag. In the last book I sort of thought he was whiny, but he also got the short end of the stick. This book was much of the same. He discounted Beth for so long, yet when Trev showed up and took her...well now he wanted her too. With that being said, I did like the relationship that Bo managed to forge with Trev. It did take some time, but it was something that they both needed. The side story with Beth's house and Trev's family was slightly annoying. I did like the part with Shelley and Leo, but Blake was a slime and drove me nuts. I thought the ending was great. It gave these 3 a new start, and gave Aidan, Lucas, and Lexi and great place for their family to thrive. First, I'll start off by saying that as a whole, I absolutely LOVE Sophie Oak's work. Having said that, I really enjoyed seeing Bo and "Mouse" again. I really liked finding out Bo's back story and seeing "Mouse" become Beth as she gained confidence in herself. I was, however, a bit disappointed in Trev's character. Was he attractive? Sure! Sexy as hell? Absolutely. He just didn't seem very Dom-like. Don't get me wrong, I liked his character overall, but he was surprisingly angsty and unsure of himself and the decisions he made more often than not. He had his reasons for second guessing himself, but he seemed to lack that core of steel will I'm used to associating with her Doms. In the end, he became stronger and confident, so the love and friendship of two good people was important to his growth, too. Will I still keep it to re-read again at a later date? Absolutely! I love this series.
