Blah. First off I hate the cover of the book. Just putting that out there. Have you ever watched a stand up comedian and he/she just wasn't funny at all though you can tell he was trying desperately to make you laugh? But all you seem to do is kind of cringe at the terrible jokes and actually start to feel sorry for the bastard standing up there? That was this book. I cracked a small smile once. One single time. Yet you could tell this book was supposed to be all about the "humor." I knew as I read what scenes or lines were intended to pull laughs I just didn't laugh. The author was just trying to hard to be funny that it all just fell flat. Plus Will was so ignorant of certain things that I had a hard time believing he was supposedly a grown ass man. Seriously, some things are just common sense. Anyway, this was my first book by this author. I'll try one more and if I'm just as disappointed in the next book I'll give up. Perhaps I just need to be pickier with what book I choose. I'm just a sucker for humor in my stories and that is why I picked this one. Lesson learned. I was kinda excited to start this book .. since it had such good reviews I knew I'd like it .. but it wasnt what I expected. Don't get me wrong it was good it just want great. What was great was the last few pages when Will asked Kenny to Marry him .. you see I loved Will from the beginning but Kenny had to grow on me and now hes ok. There were some parts that were just rambily to me and I didnt much like the then and now aspect of the story .. but anyhoo overall it was a good story just not my cup of tea .. ♥
I gave up around 30%, I just couldn't handle Will anymore. What an awful main character.
