** 2 different reviewsOh how I loved this book. I won't lie though, this was one that I could walk away from and come back to, until the twist! It was a twist I NEVER saw coming! I kept forgetting these two men knew about each other. Her world with them is so completely different. I kept thinking she was keeping them a secret when really she wasn't. It was just that well written."The three of us. Living two separate relationships. I get that you don't understand. That you wonder how someone could possibly be aroused, turned on by the only thought of something so forbidden. But often, it is the forbidden that is the hottest and the depraved that is the most arousing."Stewart is too busy for a relationship but needs Madison when he needs her. Whether it is for a roll in the hay or to accompany him to a dinner, he needs her. Of course she shows up and Paul is fully aware of where she goes. They have this understanding. Plus Madison is just such a sexual person. Like the synopsis says, they have accepted the situation. It's not that Stewart doesn't love her, he does. It's just that he's already married.....to his job that is. Therefore, he isn't able to give her the attention and she knows she will always be second place. So, Stewart comes up with a solution. This is where Paul comes into the picture. Stewart is all about work, but Paul is all play. He is fun loving, kindhearted, laid back, and understanding. He would do anything Madison asked him to.While Stewart and Madison are at a dinner, she wants Stewart, NOW. Stewart is unable to leave. This is just how crazy this all is, take a look: "He leans forward again, close enough that I can smell his scent, the masculinity crawling across the table and robbing me of rational thought. He grips my wrist, pulling my hand tightly and places it on his crotch, brushing his lips against my ear as he speaks. "Call him." I can't leave."There is only one Him in our life, our world comprised of three people. I try to process his words, spoken without anger or light, in a serious, I'm-not-fucking-around tone. I want you to come back to this table with your cheeks flushed and his cum inside you."How exactly do these three people exist in the two parallel relationships? One would think someone would get jealous, but these three make it work. Their arrangement is unusual, to say the least. Madison knows that is a matter of time before these parallel relationships will unravel and come to an end, she just isn't aware of when this expiration date will be reached. During this time, there is a woman who watches them all. She sees how Madison holds both men's hearts and she is jealous because she loves these men too. Will this woman be what unravels the relationship? You will just have to read and find out! A wonderfully addictive and passionately intense thrill ride! Okay, let’s be honest here. How can anyone NOT be interested in this book after reading the blurb? Right? Right? But what really made me think ‘oh, this one is going to be good’ was the little tidbit right before the story started.“The heart is stubborn. It holds onto love despite what sense and emotion tells it. And it is often, in the battle of those three, the most brilliant of all.” I like stories that make my tummy flutter. Even better, I like stories that tug at my heartstrings. But the best? It’s when a book makes me FEEL the extreme ends of each emotion out there: lust, love, passion, shock, confusion, etc...just to name a few. This story encompassed all of those feelings and at the same time, has a plot that is exceptionally thought-out and the ending I hoped for. Madison is someone who embraces her lifestyle. She’s an extremely passionate person, and loves sex. She doesn’t feel degraded or ashamed of herself, and is bold, daring, and an all-around great gal. Stewart is a workaholic. There is nothing more important to him than his work and job, and everything else, including Madison, is second place. This fact, however, doesn’t stop him from falling in love with her and vice versa. Due to her high sex drive, however, Stewart implores Madison to find a ‘boyfriend’ to satisfy her needs when he can’t instead of her having sex with strangers. He could accept that he’d be sharing her with another man, as long as she doesn’t leave him. This leads to her finding Paul.Paul is a carefree surfer, and the complete opposite of Stewart. He lives life every day, and his motto would probably be “Hakuna Matata.” ^^by the way, if you have never watched The Lion King, shame on you! Go watch it ASAP and try not to cry and laugh at the same time!Anyways, Paul quickly falls in love with Madison, and over time, Madison gradually opens up a part of her heart for him. Paul and Stewart know the other exists, but don’t know each other. Madison is their only link. Or is she? *Dun Dun Dun*As all these events unfold, a mystery woman plots and watches...waiting for the right moment to intervene.That was a very general plot overview. This is another one of those rare stories where I think anymore plot details will take away from fully experiencing these characters’ journey so not going to say anymore here. I do want to mention that many people will probably read the synopsis and think it’s a definite love triangle and decide to not read it because of that. What I have to say is, don’t judge a book just because of this one aspect. Be a little open-minded. The circumstances that surround these characters are very unique, and the twists and turns you’ll never see coming will throw you in a loop. The ending was also well-done. I think this story could’ve gone through so many different directions, but the route it did take, I’m very pleased with. This is love triangle at its very best! P.S. The very end of the book is just brilliant! Couldn't have asked for a better conclusion!
