Ahh this was far more satisfying. It was not only more gruesome and darker than the earlier ones, but there were actual deaths of people that mattered and for once the outer world was affected. There was more intrigue and twists than usual and the plot was less predictable. Also getting the first glimpse of the Darquesse was cool as was the foreshadowing of things to come.I also find it funny and an interesting parallel that into the fifth book it all gets darker, violence comes into Valkyrie's town, the Remnants -dark soul attaching creatures are on the loose, that Valkyrie has darkness inside of her, there is a prophecy... when I put it like that does it not remind you of Harry Potter hahahah.Although now that Tanith is 'lost' hurts a bit. She reminded me of Tonks especially regarding the look-up-to-older-sister and cool-factor.Although bloody hell could I do without the love triangle that popped up. Is this like a necessity whenever there is a female lead? Meine Rezi zu: „Skulduggery Pleasant – Rebellion der Restanten“ von Derek Landy ist der fünfte Band der Reihe.Es ist kurz vor Weihnachten. Walküre und Skulduggery versuchen Davina Marr zu finden und zu verhaften. Dabei stoßen sie auf Tesseract, einem Auftragskiller. Er soll Davina Marr töten bevor sie etwas preisgeben kann. Dabei hinterlässt er eine blutige Spur, der Skulduggery und Walküre bis zu Davaina folgen.Walküre muss sich in diesem Band mit der Beziehung zu Fletcher auseinander setzten, aber auch mit dem Kuss den sie mit einem Vampir hatte. Eigentlich wie andere Mädchen in ihrem Alter auch, muss sie herausfinden was sie möchte. Hinzukommt noch, dass sie ihre Zukunft als Darquise um jeden Preis verhindern möchteIn diesem Band kommt neben dem Strang um Walküre und Skulduggery noch einige kleinere hinzu, die teilweise die verstrickten Machenschaften der Gegenspieler beleuchten und auch wie die Restanten entkommen können.Es sind wieder Witze vorhanden, die einen zum Lachen anregen. Auch bleibt Derek Landy seinen unerwarteten Wendungen treu. Nicht das die Pläne durchkreuzt werden, sondern auch das Charakterkarussell dreht sich in die ein oder andere unerwartete Richtung, die aber Lust auf mehr machen. Es war spannend und schön zu lesen. Walküre wird eigenständiger und versucht ihren Weg zu gehen. Das gefällt mir sehr.Ich verteile 4 ½ von 5 Wölfen.
