Oh. My. GOSH! Now that I need to locate book 9 and all of my fingernails are gone, I have to say this is possibly the most addictive series I have EVER read (and I've read quite a few!) Brilliant characters combine and play off of each other in a brilliant plot with a ridiculous amount of mind-blowing subplots thrown in for good measure, but even with all the seriousness there is no danger of feeling bored - amazingly sharp-witted and funny, I seriously have not wanted to put these down since I picked them up. This book is like all Derek Landry books full of humorous dialogues. It has many unexpected turning points (something I like). But there was one thing I personally didn't like: the ending. I don't want to spoiler to much so I just tell you that it was not complete in itself (What will happen to Darquise?). I was not content with it. It makes me twant to read book 9, but I'll have to wait one year till I can read it in German. That's something I HATE !!!

What a ride. It had everything I expected and some more that I didn't (at all). What can I say about this book ? That it's funny, but also deeply tragic, and that if you're an emotional reader well you're in for a nice roller coaster ?Don't get me started on the characters. Even the secondary ones were cool and well built (aha). So yes, if you've read the rest, read this one. But be prepared. It's going to be intense.
