About book Prinsessen Og Grisen (2011)

This book was hilarious. Kids will die laughing at this. You kind of have to read the other fairy tales it mentions in the book first though so that the kids will be able to make the connections. Really young kids like preK and kindergarten will this it's funny but first and second grade will think it is hilarious because they will be able to understand the books jokes better. Great book. It's awesome because it makes fun of other fairy tales. A farmer is traveling home and stops in the shade of a castle with his baby piglet in the back of the cart. When a baby is dropped into the car and the pig flies up into the baby bed. Both the farmer and the queen are astonished, but blame it on the fairies they've read about in books.I absolutely love this book. It's one of my favorite children's books. I picked it up at a book fair last year and have read it to my children so often that the pages are already becoming worn. The writing is comical and mocks the common fairy tales we've read so often. The illustrator matched the pictures perfectly with the story and feel the author was going for. I won't spoil the ending, but it makes us laugh every time. Definitely a keeper.

Do You like book Prinsessen Og Grisen (2011)?

This was my favorite high fantasy book. It has comical and fun cartoon-style illustrations. The story is basically about a princess and a pig that switching places. It ends up causing a lot of craziness. While this book does have a happily ever after for some of the characters, others do not have a happily ever after, which makes the book unusual. I loved how the characters keep referencing "this is the sort of thing that happens in books.” I highly recommend this book.

I really liked this book because it was different. It wasn't the normal story where the girl wanted to be a princess. Instead this princess would rather be the farmers daughter. Plus you feel like the good parents got the child while the absent parents were given a different kind of child. I loved it for that reason, that it was different and unique. It was clever and made me laugh. I would read this to my children anytime!

I read this to a group of kindergarteners this week. They loved it. The story is simple but funny.
