Well, I'm very confused. I thought finishing the book would clear things up. Obviously the time travel is not possible, at least not right now, as far as we know (after all, I work with physicists), but even taking that into account, I didn't think Williams's logic worked. I've read the Time Traveler's Wife, and although it messed with my head, I was eventually able to reconcile what was happening. Not so here. Still, it was a good book, with an interesting idea and I would consider reading another book by this author, as long as it doesn't involve time travel. After reading her other two books, and enjoying them, I picked this one up. Big mistake! This is a hot mess,it reads like it's attempting to be a little 50 shades, plus a little Time Travellers Wife, trying to be cutting edge by setting it in the spring/summer of 2008 with the impending financial crisis. It fails miserably on pretty much all counts....character development, plot, authenticity. it's awful. In all honesty, after seeing that One Hundred Summers was published only a year after this book, it made me wonder if one of the books was ghostwritten!
