I wish I wish I WISH I liked this more. I wanted to so badly! I was beyond excited about an intelligent heroine. And then...she wasn't... The heroine definitely had a never ending collection of trivia...but that doesn't necessarily mean she's intelligent. Maybe I had high hopes considering the title claimed it to be a "smart romance" but I found this book to be the same as every other B list romance novel where the heroine makes every single mistake and thinks every single "dumb girl" thought that every other silly heroine seems to make.Meh. Disappointed. Okay so I really enjoyed this book & I am glad I kept reading bc in the beginning I was getting impatient with the random facts/useless knowledge by Janie! Loved the chemistry b/t her & Quinn. Plus the friendship with Elizabeth & knitting club. Kinda funny that she didn't knit but loved the scene at the end w/ the group & bad guys fight! Also loved the epilogue told by Quinn's narrative. Also loved the throwback name, Jem! I am a child of the 80's. overall a fun book & will probably read again in the future.
Another enjoyable read from Penny Reid.
