It has been months since I have been introduced to HJ Bellus but I am finally a true MY WAY GIRL !!I enjoyed this book very much. Milly is a riot and I loved her personality and her crazy things that fly out of her mouth !! I would have loved Cree's POV as well throughout but I am so in love with him regardless !! He is such a great guy , super hot and such a great dad !! I loved Annie and in the end loved all of the gang , such a great mixed family !! I am excited to read on about them all in the hopes to also get more of Cree and Milly !! Milly has such a crappy childhood , it really was sad and horrible to read about. Thankfully her so called parents ditched her with her Poppy and he did his best. Then as an adult stuck in a horrible marriage for 6 years , her only saving grace was her mother in law. They had the best relationship ever and it was inspiring to read about their interactions and their love. Sadly when Francis passed on Milly had nothing left , now divorced and without money she was contemplating where to go next. With a surprise call from a lawyer her whole life changed !! She was able to stick it to her ex and then take off on her journey to complete her bucket list and find herself !! Along the way we get a few funny stories and then she settles in a small town to live out her dream of owning her craft store. This is where we meet the super hot Cree and Annie Cree is a hard working single dad , at first Milly is unsure of his relationship status but he puts her fears to rest quite fast !! He wants her from the start and it does not take long for him to worm his in and claim her. I love the growing relationships between Milly and Cree and of course Annie and Milly. It seems like a wonderful happy journey !! Of course once you get comfortable the twists and turns come ....We have Annie's crazy "mom" that causes most of the drama. It is a tense situation where she is involved. Is Milly and Cree's love strong enough to survive the trouble ?? Will their new family stay intact through it all ?? There was a major moment of uncertainty in the story towards the end....I was on the edge of my seat , crying , man it was horrible. Then when the story moved on you were really left hanging for a minute. Damn HJ is good when it comes to suspense. Looking forward to continuing on the journey. Disclaimer: I won this book in a contest. I am writing this review by choice.Milly has several life altering changes in the beginning of the novel - death of a loved one and divorce. She comes out of it stronger with the need to find herself and enjoy life. She comes across a small town, decides to stay and opens a shop. She makes friends then she meets Cree and his daughter. When things are going well, problems jump in their paths. The story is well-written, the characters alive. Cree and his daughter are easy to fall in love with. This was my first time reading this author's work and I am looking forward to reading the rest of H.J.'s novels. Make sure to check it out and meet Cree. You won't regret it!
