About book Murder Game (2008)

Murder Game is the seventh book in the Ghostwalker series from author, Christine Feehan. Reading the previous six books in the series isn’t necessary to understand Murder Game. Though, if you’re like me, and want that complete knowledge of everything leading up to the events in this book, then I recommend it. Murder Game focuses on telling the story of Kaden Montague and Tansy Meadows, it opens in a forest where Tansy is taking pictures of a cougar for a magazine. Kaden arrives shortly after we meet Tansy and we learn that she had a little bit of a breakdown from hunting serial killers and that Kaden needs her help. I really loved the secondary story in this one, it really grabs your attention. In this story our two lead characters end up hunting two groups of serial killers with Tansy’s psychic abilities and I must say the author ties up that part of the story very nicely at the end. For this book I have two favorite characters, Tansy and Kaden. I love the way that they fit together, and as a team they work together fantastically. I did thoroughly enjoy the ending to Murder Game, as I mentioned before, everything gets tied up really well. I would suggest this book to anyone that is a fan of romance and supernatural romance. I did really enjoy this one, the concept of the story etc. I liked both the hero and heroine, the hero being such an alpha to the extent that he could only have had a matching heroine who was quite accepting, which Tansy was. I found that okay, as Tansy was a very smart, strong woman and is the type I think who is happy to go along, and only standing up for herself when it's important to her. That's a pretty smart way to roll but, yes, the hero did come on very strong. The thing that kind of spoilt this for me a bit was the constant sex. Oh, my gosh, yes, they're at it again. Right from the first day they met, and every day after that, in great detail. Look, I like sex in my books, it's part of the growth of the romantic relationship, but I've got to say this book was pretty short for me because after skipping sex scene after sex scene, well, it ended up a pretty quick read.I'm actually writing this review after having got a start on the next one, and I've got to say even though I'm a third of the way through that book, it's constant internalising about their old relationship and nothing has happened yet. I might have to set this series aside for now as I've stopped enjoying them and started saying to myself, OH FOR GOD'S SAKE, move on from the sex or thinking about sex, the skin tingling, the awareness, the thinking about how much they want each other, the womb clenching, blahdy, blah, blah. As I said, I like sex, I like romance, but bloody hell, I need a story to go with it.

Do You like book Murder Game (2008)?

#7 of the Ghostwalkers series. The Ghostwalkers are a team of genetically and psychically enhanced super soldiers who broke away from their creators. Long before the Ghostwalker programme, the creator of these super soldiers performed similar experiments on orphan girls. These orphans are grown up now and spread out over the country. Each book deals with how one of these Ghostwalker members finds love with one of these women, and usually these books have a lot of action and espionage along the way.In this particular book, the leading man, Kaden, is a domineering macho douchebag. Given the psychosis of the female lead, that is probably exactly what she needed, but I found it uncomfortable to read about their unhinged love affair. I get that the author's niche is paranormal romance - and she usually balances the two genres quite well - but this book seemed like a bunch of sex scenes strung together with a bit of story in between. Also the characters seemed to jump into bed with each other a little too soon. A bit of sexual tension would have helped to make that believable.Basically not Mrs Feehan's best work.

I guess I had read this one. I keep saying I'm going to stop listening to this series, but I keep downloading a new one. I'm going to say it again, I need to stop listening to this series. I'm to the point where I dislike every female because the narrator makes them sound so frickin' whiney and weak. It's hard for a male narrator with a deep voice to do a woman's voice and you can tell in this series. Ugh! (Saying all this, I'll probably be downloading the next book in January)
