I didn't enjoy this one as much the previous 7. Mack and his crew were a completely different Ghostwalker team than the one we had been following for the prior 7 books. I don't think the author eased me into the new group but threw me in. I also see the next book is still with this group. I don't get it. There is no real connection to the group working with Lily Whitney and her Ghostwalkers other than similar origin (Peter Whitney's experiments) and they know Peter Whitney's experiment was too invasive and went over all ethical boundaries. It's like starting the series all over. To make matters worse, I don't like Mack. I like Jaimie and was glad she left him, but of course they were engineered back together. I will have to work harder at getting over this bias of mine. I don't know why I keep reading this series. I think it is because I am OCD and can't finish something in the middle. I kind of wish that the author would stop writing the books or just get to the point. I feel like this has dragged on for long enough and the stories are just not as compelling as they were in the beginning. She just needs to do an Avengers style final book that weaves all the storylines together and end this thing already.
Way too much talking and feelings. Found myself bored at times, but loved the ops action.
