About book Lost In Temptation (Sweet Temptations, #1) (2005)
This book kept me reading even when I wanted to smack Tristan in the back of the head for his self-pitying martyr act. I loved Alexandra! Her stubborn refusal to give up on proving Tris's innocence while he pouted like a petulant child had me rolling my eyes more than once but I liked her entire attitude. Without going into anymore detail and spoiling the story I'll just say the suspense was killing me and the end shocked me. That doesn't happen very often. Lol. Good read! I found this to be an average story. The characters were at times annoying and other times just plain silly. The whole first half Alexandra was more concerned with what to wear or making candies than anything else. It got old fast. You would never guess she and her sisters were in their twenties by the way they acted. And that awful book they kept referring to was ridiculous. I did like the brother, Griffin. He was funny, hard working and saddled with trying to unload his three sisters so he could get on with his life.I liked the relationship with Griffin and Tristan. Friends since kids, they were able to talk to each other or fight things out, yet still remain loyal to one another. Tristan's story was too unbelievable in that he just gave up and didn't even try to clear his name, instead choosing to become a recluse. However, he was patient and had a good sense of humor. It wasn't until about two thirds of the way through that Alexandra finally started acting like an adult. She was too trusting, thinking everything was just a coincidence. Rachel's story at the end was too convenient and felt forced. Like the story had to be wrapped up, but wait, what about Rachel and Griffin.Good descriptions for the time period. Enjoyable secondary characters (except for one) in the second part of the book in Tristan's home.
Do You like book Lost In Temptation (Sweet Temptations, #1) (2005)?
2.5....not a lot of passion. Tepid characters, rushed love story. A boring mystery involved.
