I read this book in a day because I really couldn't put it down! It was the sweetest love story and it raised a lot of questions about what it means to be yourself. I particularly enjoyed the cameos from Anna and Saint Clair, which made me so excited! Perkins' characters are still just as well rounded and realistic as they were in "Anna", but even more so because I was reading this one off the page rather than listening to a fake English accent in the audio book! Lola and Cricket are both fantastic characters and I feel very attached to them. I really hope they cameo in "Isla" which is on my to-read list now. (and due to the mention of the trip to France I think that is likely)I love that Lola's home life was so complicated, her dads were amazing, and I even found myself warming up to the mother after a while. This book made me extremely happy and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a pick-me-up! This book had me up until 3am at times because I couldn't get enough of it. Being born and raised in San Jose and taking trips to San Francisco makes this book a little closer to heart than most. I loved than it didn't just talk about the Bridge, and left it at that. It talked about Castro, Haight, the buses, the people and it made the book real. Being a little obsessed with fashion, I loved reading what Lola would wear next and how she didn't really care of what people thought about her. Stephanie Perkins, you've created another masterpiece.
