About book Llego La Navidad, David! = It's Christmas, David! (2010)
This is a book that goes along with the book “No, David!”. It is about David during Christmas time. While David’s family is getting ready for Christmas David is like usual, getting himself in trouble. He keeps getting threatened by his parents that if he doesn’t start behaving correctly he will not get any presents from Santa. I like this story because it is different than many Christmas stories. It gives a little mischievousness to the holiday. I think I would definitely read this story in my classroom as a pre-holiday story. I would talk about what it means to be well behaved all the time and especially during the holiday season. I would make sure not to talk about santa or Christmas but about the holidays all together. I loved the “No David” books and I think the christmas edition is a great add to the collection! Genre: Realistic FictionAge: 2 and upSummary: Naughty David is always getting in trouble! He plays with the special Christmas ornaments, he takes forever on Santa's lap, he breaks a window with a snowball.....David worries that he will be on the naughty list. But in the end, he gets presents from Santa, eats cookies, and falls asleep quietly in his mother's arms. Reflection: I love these books because they send a message that I think MANY children will relate to: Even though you are naughty sometimes, your family still loves you.

I'm not a huge fan of David and his naughty antics. I liked this one the least so far.
