Hilarious second entry in the Miss Fortune mystery series. I found myself laughing out loud several times. Gertie and Ida Belle had me in stitches and wishing they lived down the street. Fortune is always in the thick of things and is as much off center as the rest of the denizens of Sinful, LA. Good mystery, quirky characters and lots of action, misadventure, and fun have me begging for more. I can't wait to see what mischief the three ladies get into next. Heaven help the evildoers of Sinful and Deputy Carter LeBlanc. Highly recommended. The characters in this series are absolutely outragious, allow you imagination to carry you through the "mishaps" and I don't think the Three Stooges could slap stick this as well as the Forune, Gertie and Ida Belle. I thought the first book was great, I could not control my laughter, it was never ending. I read somewhere a reader was disappointed because there wasn't any romance. I say, who cares, with all the mishaps, there isn't enough time, or give it time, it'll happen, but enjoy yourself till you get there, and if it doesn't. . .it's all good!
