I found this book only because I watched the first season of the show. It was very, very different. Like, vastly different. Sometimes not necessarily in a good way. Some things I'm going to mention off the top of my head:- I was confused about the plot involving Mimi. Why was it even brought up, if only to bring in more "mythical" characters. - the plot with Killian and Bran and Freya was really interesting, but not interesting enough to keep me wondering. It also got really complicated and confusing?Things I really didn't like: the way Freya was described at the beginning... I would also have rather seen the past than have been told about it. Like in a flashback. This review is jumbled to heck because I finished this last night and just wanted to get through the end so I could finish. 3/5 stars because it was pretty good. Writing was alright. Too many characters. Loved the mythology aspect. Might actually pick up the second one. So I have watched the Witches of East End on lifetime and loved it ! But you know how they say that the book is better than the movie ? Well hot-diggity-dog the book is way, way, way...did I say way? way better than the show. Freya , Ingrid and Joanna are delightful characters and since this is the first Melissa de la Cruz book I have read, " I know what your going to say, You've never read her Blue Blood's series??" that would be a no. But I so plan too. " I find her style of writing fresh, bold and charming. Now when I started reading this I kept expecting it to be just like the tv series. which is what generally happens when you watch a show before you read the book. So there are some major differences in the story line, names and characters and such.Freya ---she's a delight . A brazen redhead , who's personality overflows with sexuality. And Ingrid is a blonde headed beauty who is shy, a little on the haughty side , and a lover of books. Then we have Joanna, mother to Ingrid and Freya, Joanna might be silver headed but she has the spirit and personality of a twenty-year-old. and let's talk about Killian.....Now that man is HOTT ! He's dark, dangerous and sexy as hell. The moments between him and Freya....WOW, you could receive third degree burn , there so hot. And some of the things he says......Talk about a fun, sexy romp of a read. Melissa de la Cruz knows what's she's doing. Witches of east end will pull you in from page one and not let go.
Do You like book Le Streghe Di East End (2011)?
Only read the first chapter or so and it was too graphic for me.
