I LOVED IT!= = = = = =FYI: We don't ride camels as "transportations" in Iraq, Egypt, or Saudi, OR ANY OTHER FREAKING COUNTRY IN THE MIDDLE EAST!!!Because of three reasons:1. We actually have cars and every other modern thing that everyone else around the world have, including buildings, ice-cream, lap-tops and all that shit. 2. We keep those camels here so TOURISTS can ride them when they come to visit!3. IT'S NOT THE FIRST CENTURY ANYMORE FOR GOD'S SAKE! I’m so glad that I stumbled upon this during the MM Romance Group’s scavenger hunt challenge. I’m sure it would have come to my attention eventually but I’m happy it was sooner rather than later. Keeping Promise Rock is a story that I easily lost myself in; it grabbed me by the heart and wouldn’t let go until it was sure I had experienced every misery and every elation Crick’s & Deacon’s story had to offer. By the end of it I was emotionally exhausted but I felt like I was left with such a beautiful gift. This is a story that made me cry tears of joy and tears of sadness, it also made me want to lash out and scream at all the injustices that exist in the world. This is a story about loss and overcoming adversity, it is also about love and what it really means to be a family. So skilfully written how can I possibly deny myself the pleasure of reading Ms. Lane’s other works.
