Like many modern books, the language of this book is quite comprehensible and precise. The deepest feeling I felt when I read this book is the biaseness of the author. I do not think the book is written in an objective way. It is quite subjective. From the language used, the description of each character, it is clearly that the author does not like Jack but favours Ev and Noah. He thinks Jack did not do much but brags a lot. Ev was a good, caring and responsible leader and friends, though he is not decisive.The difference between reading such biography and reading fiction is that: when I read a fiction, I can fully immerse myself into the story the writer wrote. Anyway it is fake and whatever I interpret should be regarding to the true story. However, when reading such biography, especially such biased ones, I do not know whether I should trust the author or not. Is Ev as good as the writer wrote? So kind and smart? Is Jack as bad as he is in the book? Backstabbing his friends for the sake of his own fame, money and power. If I fully trust the author, I should despise Jack and love Ev. However, as the book is so obviously biased, I doubt my stand. I think for a biography or some history book, the author should not put his personal feelings into the narrate. He should try to show as the "fact" as much as possible, as pure as possible. Good book, you can tell the author has certainly done his research. However, I feel the story centres a lot on the characters and who backstabbed who etc. Would have been nice to read more about twitter as a website, obstacles they overcame and milestones with the project. It started off well, mentioning they didn't have the hash tags and @ symbols to begin with and users started using them anyway. That was a nice fact but think there could have been more of these. Good story regardless, gives you a sense of appreciation for the journey the founders had to take and what they went through. Starting your own business sounds like no easy feat and these guys did well and created something remarkable out of quite a simple concept. Awesome book, good insight, interesting read. Would recommend!
