A lil slow going on the action but a great read! You can help but want more for Stella...and the ending is maddening!!!! Of course done purposely to lead to book two but maddening none the less. As the witch hunts start again, Stella is rescued in the nick of time by a stranger, wisked away to NY and put in a safe house with other witches learning to use there talents. Will Stella learn and powers and be able to figure out what is going on before she looses her new family? Or will she loose the new family and friends and end up alone all over again.... I tried so hard to finish this book but I just couldn't. The writing was so over descriptive about things I felt like it was just added in to fill up the book and it felt like the story was barely moving along. I really struggled to like any of tge characters. I got to page 119 and had to put it down. I also skipped numerous pages and felt I didn't miss anything. I hate not finishing a book but I just couldn't force myself to read this any longer.
