This free read contains two short stories of young love, one past and one present. Alex and Callum are the present, they share a sweet and gentle romance without the all consuming angst, their love story has an HEA. Hale and Billy are the past, in their time a love like theirs is forbidden. Their story is full of angst, so much so that it was almost unbearable to read, their life ripped my heart out and had me crying through all of their story. Sometimes love doesn't conquer all. No matter the tears this is one beautiful read. 4.5 stars.This was a great, short read. And it was really two stories in one.Alex and Callum were sweet. I wish we had a bit more of them though and their relationship together. Maybe even a detailed love scene would have been good to throw in the mix. But what Alex gave Callum at the end as a symbol of them beginning their life together was such a beautiful moment and put a smile on my face.But it was Callum's grandfather, Hale, and his forbidden love story with Billy that really got to me. Their story was just so heart wrenching, tragic, beautiful and very touching. I just wanted them to be together, but they were torn apart and permanently separated because fate has mysterious ways of working. Both of these stories all started and finished because of a watch.
