ok my lovelies!!!I have got to say that I am now a HUGE Huge fan of MC books... i mean they are over the top, gritty, raw and real!!! the stories are sooo original, and cringe worthy sometimes...Bella Jewel... my new addition to fave authors... welcome!!Spike and Ciara... we knew from the get go due to their tragic tragic history that this was going to by one hell of a wild ride! and Bella did not disappoint! she handled their shattered hearts, guilt and fury with grace.i am sooo hooked on these characters i can NOT wait for the next book! 4.5 STARS I'm in a good mood today so I'm rounding up. I really like Spike in book one but that so much not he is frigging MEAN I mean really really HORRIBLE. Spike knows lost he lost his wife and ever since he has not been the same, he is closed off emotionally which is understandable but it does NOT in no way what excuse his poor behaviour. (I think I'm just mad at him for the way he treated Ciara and I really like her)Ok so a little back story of Ciara and Danny (Spike) they were childhood best friends they both had feelings for each other but Spike never acted on his because he felt he was not good enough for her...then came along her sister who would later be his WIFE the one that changed it all for him. Their back story is just heartbreaking all that love, hate and hurt. Can they possibly get pass all that angst and workout a future together?!?I loved the flash back to their younger years so sweet and It gives us a full understanding of what took place in the past to bring them to their current predicament. Fear and misunderstandings are a f**king bitch I really hurt for them at that point. She still love him always have and now she wants what she should have always had so she puts her best foot forward and goes after what she wants, even though Spike says he does not want her and pushed her away. She don't give up, Ciara fights and fights putting up with a lot of crap from him. Once again the writing was pretty flawless and captivating, all the crazy emotion left me pretty spent I love this series its completely on fire and I can't wait for more.
Well what to say, I absolutely loved the first book in this series, this just took it a step further, and it was great to see lots of the old characters as well, so many times I grow to love a character in a series and they kind of disappear (I get it sometimes necessary, still sad though!), not the case in this book, there is still plenty of Addi and Cade.There was so much emotion in this book, it was such a roller coaster, full of love, guilt and hate! Spike and Ciara are so torn in the feelings for each other and the emotions that haunt them from there past it was quite heartbreaking at times, but you could see the love their deep down.Also in terms of what we all love... HOT HOT HOT. Hotter than the first..... and Spike and his spike's.... enough said! PHWOAR. If Bella Jewel continues to improve her writing, emotion (and the sex) she puts into it i'm not too sure how well my heart will cope in the next book!

Love the series, but this wasn't my favorite. Ciara competing with a dead woman, her sister no less, Meh. I wish there would have been a bug reveal that Chey was some uber bitch or something. Ciara complains a lot about being second best and while Spike makes a good argument towards him being able to put her first, as the reader you're like well what if Chey was till around. It wasn't some epic live story. It was somewhere in between. I'm totally going to read the next one, because I live the guys and the authors writing style. I just wish she made Chey easier to hate and Ciara not seem so....ugh.
