Just when you think you have reached the limit of hot bikers & their lives, Bella Jewel goes and blows herself out of the water by writing the next book that is better than her last!! I sat up & read this straight through because I could not make myself put it down, it was that brilliant!This is Mack & Jaylah’s story.Mack is a hard arse. He keeps his distance from everyone & no one can get close, he doesn’t want a wife or children… Right up until he has a baby handed to him & is told it is his. He doesn’t want this.. He hires a nanny to look after his son because he cannot bring himself to do it himself. He doesn’t want to feel anything for this child, he doesn’t want to get attached, he wants it all to go away.Jaylah is the hired nanny. She is a pocket rocket who turns Mack’s world upside down. She calls him out on his crap & stands up to him like no one else would dare. Unfortunately, Jaylah has her own problems.. She is in big trouble & needs money fast which is why she applied for the nanny position, even though she has no clue about babies or children.Jaylah is welcomed into the Jokers Wrath family by Santana, Ash & Pippa with open arms, the men are initially weary but quickly warm up to her. Mack soon finds that his falls are falling down fast around her and once he stops fighting it he also starts to bond with his son. Unfortunately things aren’t all smooth sailing, there are two different sets of problems that put Jaylah & the baby in danger & although Mack does his best to deal with them and keep her safe there is one unpredictable person who poses the biggest threat.. His brother.. Can Mack keep Jaylah and his son safe & out of his brothers way? Can he keep the club out of it? Well.. you will have to get a copy of ANGUISH & read it to find out!!!The parts of the book from Jaylah’s POV as hilariously funny! I found myself laughing out loud in some parts, this girl has a mouth in her & the way she thinks is priceless! The dialogue between Jaylah & the girls is funny and occasionally ill timed, as in she says the most inappropriate things thinking there is no one around but somehow the wrong ears always seem to hear what she is saying! Wait until you meet Jaylah’s mother.. you may pee your pants laughing at what comes out of her mouth!!What I love about this book is Jaylah is such a strong female lead character. She has balls bigger than some men I know & even when she finds herself in bad situations, she fights for all she is worth, but when she is with Mack she softens & allows his alpha side to come out & play. Mack is the alpha male to a tee, but unlike many male characters that start out as the alpha type & are weakened by their emotions of their women, Mack is not.. He never actually loses his alpha characteristics. He maintains that throughout the whole book. Even in the emotional moments, he never loses that trait. I think that combination is what makes Mack & Jaylah so loveable together but also individually.There is lots of sexy panty wetting heart melting moments, there are serious & scary moments that will have you holding your breath, and there are lots of laughs.. In typical Bella Jewel fashion, she has included the perfect amount of everything in this book! The pages sizzled with the fire and passion bewtween Jaylah and Mack! Jaylah gets more than she bargained for when she decides to be a nanny for Mack, a biker with the Jokers Wrath MC.Jaylah has no clue how to be a nanny. She owes money to the wrong person so she has to take this job working for a pigheaded man-whore.Mack Just wants someone to take care of the boy. He did not plan for the fiesty package that is Jaylah.Can Mack let go of his past and earn to love again? Jaylah is determined to make that happen for his son's sake, even if it doesn't include her. 5 stars 4.5 starsBella jewel is just an amazing MC storyteller.... This book continues on immediately where Melancholy (Jokers' Wrath MC, #2) ended... and this story is about MACK!!We learn all about Mack, and why he was such a nomad for so many years... we learn about his pain, his heartbreak, his broken soul.He literally wakes up one day and has a 2 month old baby land on his doorstep.. a child he had no clue he had... a child he has no desire to even hold, the pain that child brings him is unbearable.. but what is he to do?? well hire a nanny of course!Enter Jaylah... a strong young woman, in a very desperate situation... with ZERO nanny skills... even her mother tells her not to take the job.. she will kill the child..lol but she is in such a dire situation, and Mack is paying some serious $$ for a 24 hour nanny.. that she jumps at the chance. Even with being fearful of being involved with a MC.Of course Bella weaves a tale of some seriously messed up drama, life and death scenarios and a whooooooooooooole lot of hotness and you get a seriously awesome MC story. And I love continuing stories that also have the past characters very involved in the story!!
