This is a good beach read. Sweet in parts, sexy in others. Expressing the emotions sometimes gets a bit wordy. In the end, it's all good. I have read all of the books so far in the series. I like that each of her characters is distinct. Some books I get characters confused. Not here. They each have their own personality, baggage, and sense of humor. I think I appreciate that the most. The story runs at a good pace and then whoops, you don't realize you've hit the last page of the book. Awwww. This is my current favorite series and Emilie and Marz the best couple yet. Who knew Marz was so hot and dirty. I loved him. He's sweet, tough, flawed and an amputee. His issues would fell a lesser man but for all his troubles his compassion for others is uplifting. He broke my heart when he told Emilie, who had just confessed her love for him, that he had been waiting for 32 years to hear another human being say that to him. And on top of all that we find out concrete facts about who is after them and the lengths they will go to neutralize them. I highly recommend the Hard Ink series. It's a suspenseful well written story line with compelling characters and hot romance.
