About book Grischa: Eisige Wellen (2013)

The second book in the greisha series certainly had a lot more action than the first. That was expected as the first book was used to explain that particular world. As I delved further into the book a lot more things made sense. I would say that in order to follow through on these stories you have to have some patience as the story takes time to reveal the plot. By the end of this book I wanted to know what had happened to the characters and I was left on a slight cliff hanger. If you enjoy watching characters gain more substance overtime and watch them grow then this is the series for you. I was ready to give this book four stars while reading it. The plot seemed to dramatically slow down in the middle of the novel almost until the last two chapters. It seemed that not much was happening and it was beginning to get boring, yet I kept reading because I loved the first book so much. Then I hit the last chapters and WOW it was so intense and finally what I was looking for in this book. The pain in the characters and the angst filled plot left me unable to put it down even though it was 3 in the morning. I definitely need to read the next one, but I will definitely be sad when the trilogy is over.

Do You like book Grischa: Eisige Wellen (2013)?

I loved book one but thought book two was kind of just....okay. I was evenly excited at parts and annoyed at others. For example, Mel, the boyfriend, is a jealous, insecure guy who confuses Alina and makes her feel bad about trying to save their country. I tried to understand his point-of-view---his girlfriend is a powerful Sun Summoner, afterall, but I wanted her to ditch him and get with my new favorite character, Nikolai.Overall, this book was just okay. It's kind of the "set up" for the series, which made it very dull and boring until the very end. I'm excited to read book three.
