About book Gobsmacked (2009)

I enjoyed this book for the most part; I'll truthfully admit that the church scene in the beginning put a wide smile on my face as I fought laughter at the whole thing. Don't mistake me, I personally think cheating is one of the worst things you can do to a person but Mark's way letting his rage out just called to me. That being said, I would've loved to have seen a little more depth to this book; I was mostly satisfied with it but regretted the lack of an epilogue as well as more time between Mark and Tony without one or both of them being pissed off. I did like it enough to look into more of the series but I won't run back to re-read this one right away. 3.5 stars The only thing I wanted more of was Tony and Mark's past friendship. It was weird how they acted like they were virtually strangers, tiptoeing around each other one minute and acting like former lovers the next. It didn't ring quite true to me. Yet they claimed to be best buds. From the story I would have said they acted more like past acquaintances, not friends. I liked the dialogue and how realistic it felt. Looking forward to more in this universe.
