Another thrilling instalment in the Psycop series, Ghost TV starts with the disappearance of Lisa from PsyTrain in California. Jacob and Vic go there to investigate with the help of an unexpected and somehow unwanted ally, Con Dreyfuss. The three of them find the atmosphere of PsyTrain strained because of the menace of a radical anti-Psy group called Five Faiths. Can these radicals have something to do with the disappearance of Lisa and other people at PsyTrain? Or is there a more mundane, albeit supernatural reason?I really enjoyed the mystery in this one. I must recognize it took me a time to realise what was going on. The plots in this series get more and more convoluted in each instalment, growing in complexity at the same time Vic finds more about his psychic abilities and powers. I also love the way Jacob and Vic evolve during the books. Their relationships changes and grows deeper with every new novel. There is a vulnerability in Jacob which was missing at the beginning. Their dependence of each other is intense, and Jacob is no longer the strong one at all times. The secondary characters contribute to provide the story with a disparity of perspective which makes the plot interesting and vivacious. They contribute to keep you intrigued: what is Con planning? What’s going to happen to Lisa, now she’s left PsyTrain? Is Crash going to continue to seduce Vic? So many questions… I need to continue reading. I cannot wait to find the answers! Okay..... this was one was actually.... not as exciting as I wanted (and expected) it to be...Vic is still Vic, but he wasn't nearly as witty as he should have been. In this one, Vic and Jacob go to PsyTrain because Lisa is missing. Well, and Con Dreyfuss, head of FPMP, tags along. I thought the story was a bit slow at some points. Not a whole lot of sweet Vic and Jacob time and a lot of stupid Dreyfuss in this book.I really like Vic on the police force together with Zigler, but we don't get any Zig in this one. I liked the fact that Vic and Jacob were working together, but solving the case did not kep me all that interested. Maybe it is because I don't know if I like Lisa. She has been criticising Vic and whining a lot in the previous books. So she hasn't made a very good impression so far. So when they are trying to find her I couldn't actually care if they did...And God, I really dislike the entire FPMP.... And everything seems to revolve around them...
