This book is exactly like watching a reality TV show except better because it is in book form! I loved the cast of characters and the ridiculous challenges and the viewer (aka reader) votes. I really liked the camaraderie or lack thereof between the team members and I thought the book perfectly captured the feeling of futility experienced by the contestants. Loved Sue, loved to hate Kevin. Also really liked Bev and Muriel. It was really fun to read about such a diverse group of characters in an M/M romance, especially so many great women! I really liked both John and Ricardo as characters and as a couple, but I didn't feel that much chemistry between them. The insta-lust at the beginning seemed out of character for John. I thought the relationship progressed too quickly given the time they had actually spent together was very short and mostly in public. The age difference bothers me a little if I think too hard about it but it didn't bother me while reading since neither of them seem to act their age and their magic seemed to help with that.As usual, I really liked the writing in this. There were some great turns of phrase. I also thought the pacing was really good and I was really engaged with the whole book, I read it almost all in one go. Also loved some of the brilliant moments of karma. Overall I liked it quite a bit but it was missing something to make me love it. A very enjoyable read! Price often tends to be modest with the amount of steam she includes in her reads, and this was no exception, but the scenes she did include and the anticipation leading to those scenes were perfect!I'm not a big reality TV fan--the only competitions I've followed are a few spotty Food Network shows, but that was enough to have a feel for the genre and to allow me to fully enjoy this story. I must admit to often finding the challenges a bit hokey, but I think that was okay because the participants seemed to feel the same.Another winner from Price! A bit on the long side but definitely worth it!
