Just what age are these books aimed at? Some of the concepts are really NOT for little kids. The words just won't be understood. On the other hand, using the books with older kids might make them feel...talked down to? I feel like this series is something you'd spot in a therapists office.On the other hand, they're good books for kids who have issues. I think my daughter would have benefitted from this a few years back. So I have mixed feelings. Identifying with Scaredy Squirrel has me bumping up the rating. On the other hand, I'm little bit disturbed by how much I identify with the squirrel. I'm such a huge fan of Scaredy Squirrel. He's so irresistible because his imagination always gets the best of him. Who hasn't worried unnecessarily a time or two (or ten thousand?) about simple things that seem larger than what they really are. Adults will love (and possible relate to) his idiosyncrasies and kids will love his adorableness. Great books. Great messages. Great illustrations. All of them!
