I really enjoyed this book. The author is a fantastic world builder who manages to bring a fantasy world to vivid life. The interactions between Sir Topher, Finnikin, and Evanjalin were real, funny, heartbreaking, poignant, and sometimes harsh, all of which made the characters very three dimensional. The only reason I don't give this book 5 stars is because I was disappointed to find out that many of the primary characters in this book end up becoming secondary characters in the sequels. The author definitely succeeded in making me want more Finnikin and Evanjalin, I'm just disappointed that she didn't make a more direct sequel. Oh. My. God.EVERYONE. JUST STOP WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING AND PUT ONE HAND ON YOUR HEART AND THE OTHER IN THE AIR FOR FINNIKIN OF THE ROCK.EVERYONE. THIS BOOK. IT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE. IT IS THE MEANING OF WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE FEELS. YOU HAVEN'T LIVED UNTIL YOU'VE FINISHED THIS BOOK.START NOW.(INSERT TYLER OAKLEY FEELS GIF. HERE)P.S. Meline Marchetta is a damn genius.
Do You like book Finnikin De La Roca (2012)?
Found this slow to get into, but then it ended up okay.
