About book Fearless Magic (2000)

Wow, this series is amazing.I love how mature Eden has become, in terms of romance anyway. Like, unlike other protagonists, Eden knows that her romance is unimportant on the grand scale of things, she knows that other things like family, come first. I think she even says at one point something along the lines of 'there were more important things then teenage romance' and I was like 'THANK YOU!' I loved her so much more as a character for that line alone. It's strange though, when Eden and Kiran were together I was never a huge shipping fan of there's, like I didn't mind them together, but I didn't really like them that much either. And that was because I didn't really like Kiran that much! I mean I liked him, but certain things about him, like his refusal to initially help Lilly, just left me not liking him as much as I usually like the male love interests in books. Which is why when Jericho was introduced I started shipping Jericho and Eden (not full on, as they don't have huge chemistry or anything, just because I didn't like Kiran that much). But still, while I was shipping Jericho and Eden I never thought it would come to anything, like I always assumed Kiran and Eden would end up together no matter what. But now....I don't know what to think. Now that Eden and Jericho are together, I just don't like it. That has nothing to do with Kiran though. I just think Eden and Jericho make a really dull couple. And as for Eden and Kiran, I'm even more confused.I don't know if I'm shipping them or not.I don't know if I'm supposed to be shipping them or not. I really didn't want Eden and Kiran to get back together initially, I thought what Kiran did was unforgivable. But towards the end of this book I started shipping them a bit, I don't know why, which is why I'm confused. At first I thought it would be great if they never got back together, and I feel like if Eden had forgiven Kiran I would have been furious and would never have supported them as a couple, but as Eden showed she was mature enough to move on and put other people first, I guess as a reader I forgave Kiran a bit, like he's been punished with Eden's hatred for his crime, so now that he's been punished, and I've declared Jericho boring, I guess I'm starting to ship them for the first time ever, if only a little. There's also Sebastian though...I've really grown to like him. You know what? I don't like Jericho or Kiran, so I guess I'll just ship Sebastian and Eden. No really, I think they'd be alright together. I loved this book more than the first two in this series - the story only keeps getting better. I loved the way the author continues to tell the story with beautifully descriptive writing, so much so that I didn't get frustrated with the usual spelling and grammar mistakes I've come to expect from ebooks. I also love how she has included so much detail on how Eden responds to her rapidly changing circumstances; it makes it easy to see how her character is developing and maturing into a great leader. I also loved the way the author has described Eden's love for her family, the perfect self-sacrificing kind of love, and found it inspiring. I am writing this while reading the series for the second time, so I know better, still I can't help but remember thinking Kiran was the bad guy at this point in the story the first time I read Fearless Magic. Now I find myself understanding his perspective so much more, even though at this point in the story everything we see about him is still coloured by Eden's assumptions about his motives. I love the way the author kept me guessing at the end of each book how things were going to pan out. I could never guess for certain what was going to happen next and it only made me more eager to read the next book in the series.I can definitely say that this is one of those series that only gets better as it goes on. I love these books and I'm going to continue reading them for the second time with the fourth book, Endless Magic, as soon as I get to my lunch break today!
