Well, this started out great guns...really got into the Bron/Lucian tryst and the angst of the Breeding Male vs the good girl. But it got pretty redundant, the plot sorta loosened up, and I got less and less enthused. There is just something off-putting about using gutter language to speak to your beloved. I mean, it's not romantic music to my ears to be told how beautiful I am (which I'm not), how much I'm beloved and cherished and then hear "I can't wait to lick your c*nt". Dirty talking has a great edge when it's cool dirty talking but the words this author uses during intensely romantic moments are usually words used to denigrate (e.g., the c word, p*ssy, and prick). I will continue to read this series as I have grown to like the characters and want to see how each of them evolve...but it does not rank among my faves. The beginning really shouted 'as if' to me, and Bronwyn was mega annoying and TSTL. But it got better about halfway through, even though the sex really made me blush at times, haha. I think this is because of the crude language; I'm used to more flowery descriptions of sexy times in novels. But I don't not like this style, either. Overall, this was a nice read. I think it is my favourite book out of the series thus far; Lucian and Bron's attraction was obvious, but their devotion to one another also began to shine through once all the sex (which was a lot) was done. It is something I didn't quite feel with the previous couples.
Do You like book Eternal Captive (2012)?
One of the worst books I have read. No story line even the sex was boring.

I didn't like this one very much but I did enjoy the surprises at the end.
