So short--and again, feels more like a setup for another book. At least this heroine wasn't a wuss with a ton of trauma and insecurities (much). I guess Six had enough for both of them. Getting really, really tired of the lack of basic spelling skills, though. A horse's "reigns?" (I think that was actually on the last book.) "Pealing" something like an onion? Great googly moogly... There are some serious issues here for a writer... Six and Mei-Li make an unforgettable as they search to fulfill obligations and struggle to find out if they can make a life together. One that was not ordered by superiors or demanded by the government. Six is learning what it is like to be human again. To have feelings and to want to love with your heart and your body. But the painful memories of his past keep filtering in, is it worth it to him to have the heart and body of this wonderfully exotic woman, but have deal with the pain emotions bring? Mei- Li will fulfill her obligations. She signed up for the bride draft as she had to. But when the time came for the Claiming, she did not expect to feel for this emotionless man who came to her. In her dreams he was anything but emotionless! Could she teach him how to feel again? She wanted to in the worse way! Could Six keep her safe on his strange planet while they explored their wants and needs? Could they make a life together on her planet, where her life and her friends awaited her? I have not had the pleasure of reading the first of these stories, but I do intend to catch up with Mei-Li and Six!
